It's time to start living, Champions!

"Our positive images of the future lead our positive actions." - Diana Whitney
Good morning, Champions!
As I continue to consume personal development books, a theme begins to appear, "What do you want?"
What does your future look like? Can you describe it in words or pictures? Where do you see yourself 5, 10, or 15 years from now? What are you doing? How are you living? Who are you with? Shoot, who are YOU in this future state?
Knowing the answers to these questions will help you craft the life of your dreams. It was Aristotle who wrote, "Every man [or woman] is the architect of his [her] own future." This means that you get to decide what you want and what you get.
How? You may ask. It starts right now with the simple question, "What do you want?" You can achieve anything that you set your mind to.
Now, write it all down and look at it daily. Then, take action. Remember, positive thoughts alone are not enough.
My friend and mentor, Marc Accetta, says this, "Thoughts determine what you want, but actions determine what you get."
Let's make today great by getting after the life we want.

"Success in planning means planning for success." - Damond Nollan
Interesting to hear how often time management plays a role in personal achievement. When we are actively engaged in planning our days, we strategically move further down the field toward our goals. Without it, we often feel like a boat without a rudder (floating aimlessly through life).
Everything we do takes time, however large or small the action. Therefore, we should plan our time to include every activity.
For me, I use a calendar to track daily routines as well as one-time events. From paying bills to getting dressed in the morning, I capture it all.
Eventually, if you do it often enough, you will find areas of inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. You will also begin to control your time versus letting time control you. Most importantly, you will start completing more of what's crucial to your success over participating in worthless time wasters.
Take a few minutes right now to look at your calendar. Is it on your phone? Refrigerator? Desk? Wall? Computer?
Wherever it is, start at this time to add what you plan to achieve today. Add everything (shower, meals, commute, assignments, and even watching tv).
Then, at the end of the day, review your plan and determine how well you did. Make adjustments and plan again for tomorrow (rinse and repeat).
Take control of your life (and success) today. If you won't, someone else will.
Let's make today great, Champions!

"What you feed strengthens."
Think about that for a moment. What are you experiencing in your life right now? Is it what you want more of?
Now, let me ask... How are you spending your time? With whom are you spending your time? Where are you investing your effort, money, and brain power?
The answer to those questions often reveal what we get in return. If you want something different in your life, it will mean doing something different.
Today, let's be decisive about what we want and align our actions toward getting us there.
Make it a great day, Champions!
