Saturday in Wilmington

On day two of my Wilmington trip, I spent the first part of the day in a fraternity meeting. The Board of Directors for the Middle Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi continued a discussion on upcoming plans, issues, and potential resolutions. It is always nice to hang out with smart and successful people. The guys at this meeting definitely fit the bill.

At the conclusion of fraternal business, we broke bread together at Golden Corral, followed by some down time in the hotel. I hear some took the opportunity to sneak in a nap or polish their golf clubs.

At 8:00 pm, the Wilmington Alumni Chapter hosted its annual Boat Trip in Carolina Beach. The cruise took two hours and included a view of the Intracoastal Waterway through Snows Cut into the Cape Fear River. The chapter provided drinks, food, dancing, and plenty of fellowship. Near the end of the cruise, the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi gathered together to sing the hymn on the upper deck. It was a magical moment.

Finally, the night ended with a relaxing stroll through Wilmington's night life. It provided an opportunity to "let our hair down" after a busy and fruitful day.

Below, the video captures the events of the day. Enjoy!
