Adding YouTube Videos To Blogger Just Got Easier

Google continues to roll out iterative changes, which is a very good thing. Today, we learn from Blogger in Draft that users can embed YouTube videos directly from within the post editor. This means you no longer have to open a new tab, search for the video, copy the embed code, and then paste it within the editor. No, it can all happen with only a few clicks.

How Does It Work?
To embed your YouTube video, follow these steps:

  • Open the post editor, by clicking on New Post in Blogger
  • Click on the Insert a Video icon in the Blogger toolbar
  • Select the My YouTube videos
  • Select the video you wish to embed and click Select

At this point, you should see an embed icon within the editor.

To embed someone else's YouTube video, you should follow the same steps as listed above, except choose From YouTube in step 3. This will provide you with a search box, which you can type in a keyword and choose from the list.

While this is not a huge change, it will help to save on opened tabs and overall clicks. I hope you enjoy!
