Digiday reports that Microsoft is exploring the idea of partnering with the cable giant Comcast, and an upstart Verizon Fios, to deliver television through the XBox. This recent news comes on the heels of last week's announcement regarding XBox TV, where CEO Steve Ballmer previewed the new platform at Microsoft's financial analyst meeting in Anaheim, California.
From the sound of things, Microsoft plans to work with a number of content providers to enable customers to view videos on-demand, news, sports, another live television options.
