Team Diamond Conference Call: Tips For Success

Speaker: Damond Nollan

The following audio and blog captures the tips for success during the Team Diamond conference call, which happens every Sunday night at 8:30 PM (EST).

"Your actions are a reflection of who you are and what you believe about yourself. Remember, Thought + Word + Action = Results" ~ Iyanla Vanzant
When we leave our trainings, we talk about going out and doing massive amounts of action. This is the difference between success and failure. Remember, the power of your thoughts and words determine how we act.

I highly recommend the essay, "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. If you want to get your wallet right, you have to get your mind right, first. Until you can envision the end result, achieving it will be next to impossible. We get our minds right by reading books and listening to positive audios. Everything we are and who we become starts with a thought. Those seeds of thoughts come by what we read, watch, and listen.
Your words are powerful beyond measure. Speak life into others, as well as yourself, and you can achieve the impossible. ~ Damond Nollan
We talk to ourselves every day, be it through our self conscious or mouth. We need to take advantage of that and speak life into others as well as ourselves. As a parent, we should be speaking life into our kids. For our kids to hear the positive reinforcement, they may remember that for life. "I am smart and beautiful." They then begin to believe it because it is a seed that we plant.

As a leader, talk life into your team. Talk life into each other. People will live up to the vision that we place on their lives. Even if our team members don't believe it for themselves, we should believe it for them. Let's be a team of positive words and positive reinforcement.
"Be persistent and consistent." ~ Damond Nollan
We are gardeners. We are just out here planting seeds. Jim Rohn says that some of those seeds will grow. You cannot show the deal once a week and expect a bountiful harvest. Even before you see the harvest, you have to do the action to bring it forth. As a gardener, we plant seeds in the ground. We then water seeds and wait for it to grow. In some cases, it can take days, weeks, months, or even years.

Every time we show the deal, we're planting seeds. Do not measure the success of your day by the return, but rather by how many seeds you plant. What you do today may take up to 3 months before you see a return. Be consistent and persistent with your business.
"Effort is the new currency." ~ Julio June Acosta
There are many of us who want stuff, but we're not willing to do the work required to get it.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Bible: Matthew 7:7
What does this say? Ask, Seek, and Knock are all action words. You have to go out there and do the work. You can have anything that you want in this world.
"Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are." ~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
We want to have Aces on our teams. However, we don't deserve to have an Ace until we are first are an Ace. You have to be the person that you want those in your life to be. As a parent, our kids will do exactly as we do, not always what we say. If you want your team to be out there showing the deal, YOU have to be out there showing the deal. People are attracted to like minded people. Say what you want and go out there and do it.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
We all have challenges in our lives. You have health, finances, or any number of things. It's not the person that you are when things are going great, but the person you in the face of challenge. No matter what happens this week, be the man or woman that you are in the good times.
"Successful people are not gifted; they just work hard, then succeed on purpose." G.K. Nielson
A lot of us look at the winners like June, Carlos, Dwayne, or Lee. "Maybe they have the genes for success." some say. No, successful people just work hard. Guys, you can have the same success as these leaders. You have to believe that it can be you and then go out there and get it.
A strong man cannot help a weaker man become strong. It is only by his own effort that a weak man can change his condition to develop the strength that he admires in others. Inspired by James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
As a leader and sponsor, the one thing I struggled with was how to help my team. For many months, I stopped showing the deal because I wanted my team to win. But after reading this, I realized that I cannot help them by doing it for them. We have to let them find their strength within themselves.

You will never have IMD status or wealth in your life until you do the work necessary to have it. As parents, sponsors, and business leaders, we often tell them that we'll do everything for them. We cannot help them by doing it for them, we have to let them find the strength within themselves to become the person they need to become.

I used to watch Pimp My Ride on MTV. I used to say that those cars are going to return back to the state they were before they got theirs cars pimped. The same is true for lottery winners. They win a million dollars and their broke in 12 months. Why? Because they don't know how to maintain it. They didn't earn it so how can they keep it?

You are exactly where you're supposed to be right now because of the decisions you made thus far. Wherever you are is exactly where you are supposed to be. The good news is that you can change your condition. You just have to decide to be and do something different. want something different, you have to do something different.

Don't blame anyone else for your success or failure. You are the deciding factor for your life. Circumstances happen to us all, but as Jim Rohn said, it is how you set your sail that matters.
"The level of success earned is based entirely on the measure of your sacrifice." ~ Damond Nollan
What are you willing to give up to have success? Eric Thomas explains success and says that there are those who are not willing to give up sleep, television, radio, Monday night football, or whatever. What's holding you back? What are you holding on to? I love television and movies, but if I watch it all day, I'll never amount to much.

Quick story:
Here is a man who is wretchedly poor. He is extremely anxious that his surroundings and home comforts should be improved. Yet all the time he shirks his work, and considers he is justified in trying to deceive his employer on the ground of the insufficiency of his wages.
Here is a rich man who is the victim of a painful and persistent disease as the result of gluttony. He is willing to give large sums of money to get rid of it, but he will not sacrifice his gluttonous desires. He wants to gratify his taste for rich and unnatural foods and have his health as well. ~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
You have the power in you to achieve anything you want in your life. What are you willing to give up or do to get it? We all can go IMD, the question is how fast do you want it?

Whatever you got from this, take it and put massive amounts of ACTION behind it!
