The Real Reason Behind Goals

"The ultimate reason for setting goals is to entice you to become the person it takes to achieve them." ~ Jim Rohn

I heard that quote last night while on my way home from work and it touched me. See, I realized that BIG goals are those things that stretch us. They are things that are outside of our current knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Therefore, if we are going to achieve our goals, we have to get better. We have to do those things that make us uncomfortable and potentially scare us. We have to fight our fears and discipline ourselves in order to reach it. I won't be easy and there is a chance that we will fall down many times on the way to the top. However, rest assured that as long as we keep going, we will get there.

The satisfaction, while we look back on the journey, is in knowing that we had to change, sacrifice, improve, grow stronger, and fight our natural tendencies to reach this sweet moment.

"What it [the journey] makes of you will always be the far greater value than what you get."

You are a champion! Keep going and don't stop until you get what you came for.
