NFL Combine Challenge: How Many Bench Presses Can You Do?

In response to Kevin Levrone's latest blog post, I finally decided to pull out my Kodak Zi8 video camera and start recording. After five grueling body transformations, Kevin is starting a sixth. Entitled, "NFL Combine Transformation," Kevin begins with a series of seven tests (Bench press 225lb for reps, 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 20 yard shuttle, 3 cone drill and 60-yard shuttle). At the end of the summer, and after countless hours in the gym, we will retest ourselves and check for growth.

I'm pretty amped about participating and invite you to join me on this journey. Together, I know we can make a difference this summer and really push our bodies to the limit. So, wherever you are, put on your gym clothes, pull out those video cameras, and let's get moving.

Today's challenge is to get under the bench press with 225 lbs (or whatever you can manage) and do as many as you can. Come back here and let me know what you can do.

In the video below, I introduce the challenge and knock out 12 reps. Truth be told, I was quite impressed that I was able to push out that many. In the subsequent video, I recorded my friend and advisor, Michael Steele (not the politician), while he pumps out a crazy number of pull-ups. Enjoy!

P.s., if you want to share your video with me, feel free to do so here or on my YouTube Channel.
