Facebook Unveils Two New Features: Ticker and a "Personal Newspaper"


On the Facebook blog, the company announced an updated news feed that provides users with an option to view their friends' updates in a number of ways. The first way, as seen above, is through a ticker that runs on the right-hand side of the page.

Unlike the current news feed, the ticker will automatically report updates as they happen. This new feature allows users to keep an eye on friends' activities and quickly participate without leaving the page.

The second way to view updates is through a "personal newspaper" style format that separates the most interesting pictures and stories at the top, denoted by a blue corner, followed by the most recent updates.  


At the time of this article, I have not received the changes. Although, I imagine it is only a matter of time before they roll out to everyone. To see more details on the news feed features, check out the video below.
