Will Sprint Keep Unlimited Data Plan After It Gets The iPhone 5?

Yesterday, we found out that Apple plans to hold a discussion on the iPhone next Tuesday (October 4 @ 10 am). For weeks, we have been talking about the arrival of the iPhone 5 and where it may land next. Some believe that Sprint will get the iPhone 5 some time in October.

The question I have concerns the unlimited data plans.

Business Insider reported yesterday that Sprint would continue to offer its unlimited data plans after it gets the iPhone. However, later that afternoon, Forbes reported that Sprint's Chief Technology Officer, Stephen Frye, hinted that the company may ultimately let the plans go and follow in the footsteps of the other major carriers.

If Sprint were to let the unlimited data plans go, I believe it would ultimately seal it's own demise. Why? you ask. The unlimited data plan is a huge reason I chose Sprint to begin with. With the iPhone and unlimited data, I believe many people would make the switch to Sprint. If not, then Verizon, regardless if you're on a Blackberry, Android, or iOS offers a more expansive network than Sprint.

At this point, I'm not sure what will happen with Sprint and it's unlimited data plan. My hope is that they keep things like they are now.

What do you think? Will Sprint remain strong or let their unlimited data plan go? Let me know in the comment section below.
