Team Diamond Conference Call: Tips For Success

Speaker: Damond Nollan

The following audio and blog captures the tips for success during the Team Diamond conference call, which happens every Sunday night at 8:30 PM (EST).

"Your actions are a reflection of who you are and what you believe about yourself. Remember, Thought + Word + Action = Results" ~ Iyanla Vanzant
When we leave our trainings, we talk about going out and doing massive amounts of action. This is the difference between success and failure. Remember, the power of your thoughts and words determine how we act.

I highly recommend the essay, "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. If you want to get your wallet right, you have to get your mind right, first. Until you can envision the end result, achieving it will be next to impossible. We get our minds right by reading books and listening to positive audios. Everything we are and who we become starts with a thought. Those seeds of thoughts come by what we read, watch, and listen.
Your words are powerful beyond measure. Speak life into others, as well as yourself, and you can achieve the impossible. ~ Damond Nollan
We talk to ourselves every day, be it through our self conscious or mouth. We need to take advantage of that and speak life into others as well as ourselves. As a parent, we should be speaking life into our kids. For our kids to hear the positive reinforcement, they may remember that for life. "I am smart and beautiful." They then begin to believe it because it is a seed that we plant.

As a leader, talk life into your team. Talk life into each other. People will live up to the vision that we place on their lives. Even if our team members don't believe it for themselves, we should believe it for them. Let's be a team of positive words and positive reinforcement.
"Be persistent and consistent." ~ Damond Nollan
We are gardeners. We are just out here planting seeds. Jim Rohn says that some of those seeds will grow. You cannot show the deal once a week and expect a bountiful harvest. Even before you see the harvest, you have to do the action to bring it forth. As a gardener, we plant seeds in the ground. We then water seeds and wait for it to grow. In some cases, it can take days, weeks, months, or even years.

Every time we show the deal, we're planting seeds. Do not measure the success of your day by the return, but rather by how many seeds you plant. What you do today may take up to 3 months before you see a return. Be consistent and persistent with your business.
"Effort is the new currency." ~ Julio June Acosta
There are many of us who want stuff, but we're not willing to do the work required to get it.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Bible: Matthew 7:7
What does this say? Ask, Seek, and Knock are all action words. You have to go out there and do the work. You can have anything that you want in this world.
"Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are." ~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
We want to have Aces on our teams. However, we don't deserve to have an Ace until we are first are an Ace. You have to be the person that you want those in your life to be. As a parent, our kids will do exactly as we do, not always what we say. If you want your team to be out there showing the deal, YOU have to be out there showing the deal. People are attracted to like minded people. Say what you want and go out there and do it.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
We all have challenges in our lives. You have health, finances, or any number of things. It's not the person that you are when things are going great, but the person you in the face of challenge. No matter what happens this week, be the man or woman that you are in the good times.
"Successful people are not gifted; they just work hard, then succeed on purpose." G.K. Nielson
A lot of us look at the winners like June, Carlos, Dwayne, or Lee. "Maybe they have the genes for success." some say. No, successful people just work hard. Guys, you can have the same success as these leaders. You have to believe that it can be you and then go out there and get it.
A strong man cannot help a weaker man become strong. It is only by his own effort that a weak man can change his condition to develop the strength that he admires in others. Inspired by James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
As a leader and sponsor, the one thing I struggled with was how to help my team. For many months, I stopped showing the deal because I wanted my team to win. But after reading this, I realized that I cannot help them by doing it for them. We have to let them find their strength within themselves.

You will never have IMD status or wealth in your life until you do the work necessary to have it. As parents, sponsors, and business leaders, we often tell them that we'll do everything for them. We cannot help them by doing it for them, we have to let them find the strength within themselves to become the person they need to become.

I used to watch Pimp My Ride on MTV. I used to say that those cars are going to return back to the state they were before they got theirs cars pimped. The same is true for lottery winners. They win a million dollars and their broke in 12 months. Why? Because they don't know how to maintain it. They didn't earn it so how can they keep it?

You are exactly where you're supposed to be right now because of the decisions you made thus far. Wherever you are is exactly where you are supposed to be. The good news is that you can change your condition. You just have to decide to be and do something different. want something different, you have to do something different.

Don't blame anyone else for your success or failure. You are the deciding factor for your life. Circumstances happen to us all, but as Jim Rohn said, it is how you set your sail that matters.
"The level of success earned is based entirely on the measure of your sacrifice." ~ Damond Nollan
What are you willing to give up to have success? Eric Thomas explains success and says that there are those who are not willing to give up sleep, television, radio, Monday night football, or whatever. What's holding you back? What are you holding on to? I love television and movies, but if I watch it all day, I'll never amount to much.

Quick story:
Here is a man who is wretchedly poor. He is extremely anxious that his surroundings and home comforts should be improved. Yet all the time he shirks his work, and considers he is justified in trying to deceive his employer on the ground of the insufficiency of his wages.
Here is a rich man who is the victim of a painful and persistent disease as the result of gluttony. He is willing to give large sums of money to get rid of it, but he will not sacrifice his gluttonous desires. He wants to gratify his taste for rich and unnatural foods and have his health as well. ~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
You have the power in you to achieve anything you want in your life. What are you willing to give up or do to get it? We all can go IMD, the question is how fast do you want it?

Whatever you got from this, take it and put massive amounts of ACTION behind it!

Live Blogging C3 Church: All In - Generosity

Speaker: Pastor Matt Fry

Faith is mentioned 246 times in the Bible. Hope 186. Love 733. Giving 2,285. So as we talk about going all in for God, we have to talk about generosity.

37 Jesus replied, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'
Matthew 22:37 (NLT)

God wants all of our heart, soul, and mind.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:21 (NIV)

It all starts with our heart. Jesus tells a story about a wealthy man.

17 As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. 19 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’”
20 “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”
21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!” 24 This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. 25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
26 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.
27 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
Mark 10:17-27 (NLT)

Everything is possible with God. Aren't you thankful that things may look one way in the natural and then another way in the supernatural?

This rich young business man had it all. He was even religious, but he didn't have a relationship. He thought he could earn or buy his way to Heaven. Salvation is a free gift. It is by grace that we have been saved.

As Matt was reading that, he thought that Jesus was asking a lot of the man. Why would Jesus ask him to do that? The Lord took Matt to Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac. Remember, when Abraham and Sarah couldn't have kids? Then God blessed them with a child, Isaac. Later God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son. At the last minute, God provided a lamb to take his son's place. God was just testing his heart.

Even in this situation, Jesus was testing the business man's heart. If the guy immediately went off to sell his riches, Matt believes that Jesus would have stopped him. In this story, the rich man wasn't willing to give up his security.

There is nothing wrong with having nice things, but God just wants your heart. If things are getting in the way, that's the problem. God knows that if he has your heart, then he has your possessions.

Remember, everything is possible with God. Some of you are thinking that God doesn't understand my situation. There are three potential responses to God and giving:

  1. I've Got To Give - This is giving that is giving out of religious duty. This, for some, is a painful type of giving. For some, this is guilt like given. Maybe if I give God some money, God will overlook the sins in my life.
  2. I Give To Get - God, I'll give to you IF you give me something back. For some, this is giving to receive. Yes, God wants to bless you, but you cannot treat God like Santa Claus. It all comes from the heart. Let's not reduce God to something miniature.
  3. I Get To Give - This is the feeling of being privileged to give. Instead of looking at it like, "I have to give 10%." This is a feeling of, "Oh, I get to keep 90%? Sweet!" Another way to look at it is this, "I get blessings in order to give more."
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 (TNIV)

God wants our heart and wants to see the desires of our heart fulfilled.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
Psalm 14:1 (NIV)

All goes back to the heart. Jesus wants our hearts.

6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty.
“But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Malachi 3:6-10 (NIV)

Tithe vs. offering? Tithe actually means a 10th.

You cannot rob God, but we actually rob ourselves of a blessing. We rob ourselves of living out the heart's desire.

The first 10% goes to God based on obedience. You give an offering based on a revelation. An offering is something above and beyond the tithe. We don't have to pray on a tithe, we just have to obey God.

God is so creative. He will tell you who and when to bless others.

Matt tells a story about a time where he blessed someone who was more wealthy than him. The wealthy business man got teary eyed and said, "Nobody has ever given me anything, people are always asking me for stuff." This man's heart was changed.

Ninety percent with God is better than 100% without him. That's just like the Sabbath. Did you know that we're supposed to rest for 24 hours each week? We are more productive by working 6 days versus working all 7. The same goes for tithe. We cannot out give God.

Pastor Matt shares a testimony about a family that were new to the Church. In talking about tithing, the wife recalls their effort to give the whole tithe. As a result, they were able to have child when they were not able before. In addition, they have been blessed in so many ways. They cannot put a price tag on the love and blessings that God has given in return of their generosity.

Last week, Matt talked about serving others. This week, Matt has 10 benefits of generosity, they are:

  1. It brings order to your life and finances.
  2. It demonstrates that God takes first place in your life.
  3. It stretches my faith.
  4. It reminds me that I am not in control, God is.
  5. I get to celebrate when lives are changed.
  6. I get to model for my kids what Biblical stewardship looks like.
  7. I play a part in getting the Gospel out to the world.
  8. It breaks the grip of greed and selfishness in my life.
  9. I get to invest in something much bigger than me and last much longer than me.
  10. You cannot out give God.
  11. It allows me to see that we are a steward over his resources.

Do You Need A Fresh Start?

If you would like to make a fresh start in your life and receive God's love, pray this prayer:
Dear God, I realize I've sinned and I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross and rising from the grave. Come in to my heart and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal and abundant life. Help me to live for you, for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

C3 Church: All In

Speaker: Matt Fry

Jesus is trying to explain what the final judgment will look like.

Matthew 25:31-40 (NLT)

The one thing that separates sheep from goats is the one that serves the hurting. So, when we are all in, it means that we are serving others. In this passage, Jesus says that if you’re all in, then prove it. Are you living a life of service or are you living for yourself.

Question, who should we serve? The answer is EVERYONE.

John 3:16 (NIV)

God loves the world. It doesn’t matter the color, creed, or background, everyone matters to God. Jesus was kind of radical because he cared for everyone.

Jesus modeled what service should look like.

Matthew 9:9-13 (MSG)

The church that Matthew grew up in was more legalistic. It was more about what you looked on the outside than what you looked like on the inside. One example was the length of men’s hair. In the 70’s Pastor Matt got his haircut at the barbershop. When he went to church the next Sunday, someone said, “Matthew, you got your hair cut. Now you look like a man of God!” This comment really messed with Matt.

No matter what kind of background you have, God’s grace is sufficient and he will chase you down.

C3’s message is Real Hope for Real People in a Real World. It’s fun to reach people who are new Christians or have no real knowledge of how the church works.

Pastor Matt recalls a story of a time that they were fasting and one guy says that he “gave up marijuana.” “Wait…isn’t that illegal?” Matt asks. (Congregation laughs) In the end, it doesn’t matter your background. God loves you and so do we.

Anyone can serve on our “Dream Team.” One of the values of this church is that you can belong to the church before you believe. They may not teach our kids (he laughs), but they can still serve. God is not looking for perfect people, but for those who are available and willing.

Remember the disciples? These imperfect people were not highly educated nor all that knowledgeable about religious practices. Still, they turned the world upside down. They were real people like you and me.

Matthew 4:18-20

God is not always looking for the most talented, gifted, or wealthy. He wants to use you where you are.

So, what is the best time to get involved? Answer: RIGHT NOW!

You are God’s masterpiece and he wants to use you. Every single one of you has value. Question: Why not you, why not here, why not now, why not work together to change the world. (Congregation applauds)

To apply the “All In” concept, Pastor Matt talks about serving on a Ministry Team here at C3 Church.

There are a lot of benefits for using your gifts and talents.

1 Corinthians 12:7 (MSG)

How many know that when we serve and get out of our comfort zone we all benefit. Here are 10 benefits of serving:

  1. Fun
  2. You can live out your purpose in a practical way.
  3. You get to know other people.
  4. You experience God’s power when you get out of your comfort zone.
  5. It makes coming to church even more meaningful.
  6. You begin to live your life on mission the other 6 days that you aren’t at church.
  7. You make lifelong friends.
  8. You see God do miracles in people’s lives.
  9. You model for your family a servant’s heart. Future generations are impacted.
  10. We are on the front lines of seeing the miracle of salvation and grace very week!

Amen.

WorldVentures Cycle of Duplication

Speaker: Michael Marich
Event: Greensboro Regional Training Event (RTE)

Getting Started

  1. Your top 5-10
  2. Inviting
  3. Exposing
  4. Prospecting
Repetition is the mother of all skills! Network marketing is not natural. We get paid to be a broken record. Remember, while this may be your 4000th presentation, the person in the seat is their first time.

Inviting
Don't tell them anything until you can show them everything! If you try to do that, it comes out wrong.

Inviting vs Explaining
Please don't do the fire hose. This is when you try to sell the product in a matter of minutes.

Remember, you are a professional inviter. There is a woman named Phillis. She has never done one presentation in over five years. This young lady is about to be recognized as a Marketing Director in the company.

Get good at inviting. If you get good at this, you can do very well in this business.

Don't explain the details of the movie's plot to them.

The Steps

  1. Be in a hurry
  2. Clear the date and time - If you cannot get past this step...STOP!
  3. I have something I need to share with you. (Get Excited)
  4. Confirm the date and time
These steps will put more people in front of you than anything else.

Text Inviting

  • Can you do coffee?
  • Can you do beer?
  • Can you do lunch?

F.O.R.M.

  • Family
  • Occupation
  • Recreation
  • Message
Why do we do this? F.O.R.M. will allow your friend/family to tell you exactly what their pain points are. This gives you the opportunity to talk about the business and how it can help them. FORM'ing is absolutely critical.

Use FORM and the 3-Setup together for a knockout presentation

Prospecting and Inviting Cold Market

  • "I'm involved in a huge project. I'm responsible for the expansion of the west coast of an American company we're also in 24 countries."
  • "I can't promise you anything, but write down your name, phone number, email and I will get back to you if something comes up."
The Magic of 2 on 1's

  • Public place: Coffee Shop, Starbucks, Dunk'n Donuts, Mall, etc.
  • Use the DVD
  • Proper edification is a must!!!
  • Enrollment happens at the place, get the prospect to fill out their personal information
  • Brush up on your websites, tools, concierge, etc.
  • Provide them both a CD or DVD
  • Immediate success 24-72 hours (Get 6 sales = $570)
  • Build the list of contacts properly
  • Choose your top 10-15 people from the list
  • Call contacts
Power of 1
This system is as simple as "1." Michael got this idea from the book "The Slight Edge." In the book, there is a story about a father who is about to pass away. Before he died, he called his two sons in and asked them to choose a box. One box had a million dollars and the other had a penny. The penny would double each day for a month.

Over the course of a month, the penny earned over $10,737,418.24.

The lesson: Sign up one person over the course of a month. In the next month, both you and your new rep should each sponsor one. That is a those two just go out and get one. The next month out together and get one each.

Dave Watson personally sponsored 25 personals over 8 years. Today, he now has over 102,000 members. If we break this number down, this is what it looks like:

8 years = 12,750 new members a year
1 month = 1,063 members
1 day = 36 people

That means Dave cycles at least times every day. Remember, every six cycles, he gets $100 in travel dollars.

Inside each of us are two wolves. One of those is evil and other is good. Which wolf wins? Answer: The one you feed the most.

WorldVentures 4-Minute Napkin Presentation

Speaker: Dave Watson
Event: Greensboro Regional Training Event (RTE)

The whole goal of the presentation is to help someone make a wise decision.

There three key pieces:

Column One

  • DT Membership
  • 700-800 trips a year
  • $69 cruise
  • $94 Las Vegas
  • $199 Cancun

If it were true that you could take a $69 cruise, did I capture your attention? What are we trying to do? We trying to close the gate and lead them to where we want them to go. We're just trying to get a positive affirmation. Who wouldn't want that lifestyle?

Column Two

  • Rovia
  • Travel website
  • Price Pledge
  • Rate Shrinker
  • Cost: $200 + $54/mo
  • Refer 4 pay no more
  • DreamTrips Rewards

The second column is about Rovia (technology). This is like saying that you own a travel website similar to Travelocity. How cool would it be to have that? Do you think that some people would want to hear about this?

How many times have people said, "Yes!" A whole bunch.

Ask a bunch of questions that lead to a "Yes!" That's pretty good isn't it?

Column Three

  • Business Model
  • Direct commission
  • Team commission
  • ___ many said, "Yes" turned into a 102,000 people
  • Residual income
  • BMW
  • Cost: 100 + 11/mo
  • Total cost: $356 + $66/mo

Pretty simple, right? I've seen a lot of things over the years. However, I've never seen anything in travel and definitely never a company that provides a product that costs less than any place else.

Dave asked, "Did you ever think that I could grow this thing into a 102,000 people from a town of only 72?"

For some people, this is unbelievable. Dave Watson uses this presentation all of the time on a Starbucks napkin, even one with coffee stains on them.

TIP: If you want to get stinking rich, you have to keep showing the presentation until it becomes natural. If you haven't reached your goal, keep going.

WorldVentures Is Like The Matrix

Michael Marich talks with Greensboro, NC RTE attendees

Event: Greensboro Regional Training Event (August 2013)
Speaker: Michael Marich

In the beginning, Michael Marich didn't go to training. It took him 8 months before he actually went. The people on his team were ranking up before he was. He figured that the only difference between him and his team was that he wasn't going to training.

Mike's first Regional Training Event (RTE) was with Bethany Webster. From this training, he left with 6 people and then his team dramatically changed from there.

The four main events WorldVentures provides are: Momentum, United, Millionaire Boot Camp, and then A View from the Edge.

The one that moved him the most was A View from the Edge. It was life changing.

Michael explains that our job in WorldVentures is to "Help people that used to be blind to see."

Did you know that the Matrix is all about network marketing?

In the movie, Morpheus was looking for the "ONE." He believed that Neo was the ONE and that he would change everything.

Neo was invited at least four different times in the movie.

  1. Wake up NEO, follow the white rabbit.
  2. The second time was at the bar.
  3. The third time was by a cell phone at work.
  4. The fourth time, he is in a car and Trinity says that you've been down this road before.
How many have given up after three calls? Hands go up all around the room.

Mike talks about David Pietsch who was invited 21 times before he joined.

How many people have a list? When do you take people off the list? Answer: Until they say, "Yes."

Dream Stealers
A great example of a time stealer is Agent Smith.

Presenting/Enrolling
Morpheus presented to Neo and asked him to take the red or blue pill. Or, put another way, he was asked the question, "Are you in or are you out?"

Training
Like Neo, we have to go through training. We have to get the information and belief into people's heads. These trainings include Super Saturdays, Regional Training Events, and Big Events. For Mike, it only took one event to change his life.

Cycle of MasteryThere are four things we can do:

  • Potential
  • Action
  • Results
  • Reinforces Belief
POTENTIAL leads to ACTION which leads to RESULTS which leads to REINFORCES BELIEF which leads back to POTENTIAL

Dave Watson, a very successful International Marketing Director (IMD), only sponsored 25 personals, but his team now has over 102,000 people.

Last night, we learned that WorldVentures isn't even out of the formulation stage, yet. Some say the company is in concentration, but we're not.

Pleasure vs. Pain
People do things for less pain. As a result, learn to use "pain and pleasure" instead of "pain and pleasure" using you.

The pain is watching someone that you know walk across the stage after they have joined a different team. The way you hand pleasure and pain will affect you life.

Handling Objections

  • No experience
  • Pyramid scheme
  • Not a sales person
  • Etc.
Quitters
People are going to quit. Will you remember the names of the people who quit? Mike doesn't. He only concentrates on the people who stay.

Who are your 5?
You're income is the average of the top five people you hang around. If you're the top of your group they will pull you down. You have to be at the bottom of the group. Find people to hang out with. Listen to people like Les Brown, Dave Ulloa, Johnny Wimbrey, Ed Blunt, and Dave Watson. Make them your friends by listening to their audio.

Where else can you find those types of people? Find people at events like the RTE and big events.

"Without a strong why you will quit." Find out what your "Why" is.

"You can have excuses, you can have results, but you cannot have both."
