How Far Are Your Tweets Going?

Ever wonder how effective your tweets really are? Are you curious to find which of your Twitter followers are helping to forward your message further? If so, let me introduce you to TweetReach.

Based on the report I ran this morning (see above), my Twitter username has reached 21,541 people via 33 tweets. The report also lists the top twitterers with the number of related impressions. Clearly, there are some heavy hitters in my followers list. The question I have to ask myself is this, "Am I rewarding those individuals for helping me out?" If not, I should.

The first thing that comes to mind is Chris Brogan's12:1 ratio. According to Chris' latest blog, he writes, "I promote other people 12 times as much as I promote my own stuff." This means he retweets or brings attention to the projects of others more than he does himself. It's kind of like paying it forward. I like that.

Whatever the report reveals to you, it should be clear that one of the most successful ways of disseminating information is going to be through others. What are you doing to maximize this fact? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
