Blogger Unveils 7 New Dynamic Templates For You To Use

The Blogger Buzz team announced on their blog today the release of seven new dynamic views for Blogger users.

Using the latest technology (AJAX, CSS3, and HTML5), bloggers can wield a very attractive template without knowing an ounce of code.

According to the author, the new dynamic views load 40% faster than other "traditional" templates.

New Features
  • Infinite scrolling
  • Images that load as you browse
  • Integrated search
  • Sorting by date, label and author
  • Lightbox-style posts for easy viewing
  • Keyboard shortcuts for quickly flipping through posts
  • One-click sharing to Google+ and other social sites on every post
Real World Examples

  • Classic (Gmail): A modern twist on a traditional template, with infinite scrolling and images that load as you go
  • Flipcard (M loves M) - Your photos are tiled across the page and flip to reveal the post title
  • Magazine (Advanced Style) - A clean, elegant editorial style layout
  • Mosaic (Crosby’s Kitchen) - A mosaic mix of different sized images and text
  • Sidebar (Blogger Buzz Blog) - An email inbox-like view with a reading page for quick scrolling and browsing

Closing Thought
I'm extremely pleased to see Blogger still working on its services. With WordPress maintaining popularity among many bloggers and site developers, it warms my heart when I can call them up and ask, "Can your blog do this?"

One thing I noticed about the examples above is that every blog looked similar in color. I am happy to report that users can load customized headers and change the sites background and foreground colors.

At this point, I'm not sure if I'm ready to change, but I will definitely keep a close eye on what Blogger rolls out next.

What do you think? Which template do you like best? Let me know in the comment section below.
