6 Weeks Until DTP Extreme Muscle Transformation Begins!

Just over two weeks until we're done with this 12-week transformation. Getting to the gym and eating right had gotten easier as the weeks went by, but it ain't over yet.

For those rocking with me, stay strong and grind it all the way out. We've made it this far, so let's finish strong.

Just a heads up, when I'm done with this transformation, I'm planning to immediately jump into Kris Gethin's 30 day DTP program followed by his upcoming 12 week DTP Extreme Muscle Building program, which is launching November 2014.

Don't Quit! A Lesson from Simeon Panda

In twelve years, Simeon was able to transform a skinny little kid into a massively successful titan. How did he do it? Hard work, of course, but he contributes much of his success to being consistent. Did you catch that? Being consistent.

During an interview, Simeon talked about how people start things, there were a lot of people that started when he did, but most of them quit. While they were busy being frustrated or searching for an easier way, he just kept going (day in and day out).

What about you? It's there something in your life that you want to achieve? Maybe it's a better body, improved career, stronger relationships, or healthier business. Whatever it is that your want, you can have it.

Lee spoke at C3 Church today and he shared the role of business people in the church. I knew that we business owners had a purpose, but he addressed openly what God has shared with me in private.

Not Meant To Do Life Alone

Yesterday, I had some friends over at the house. We talked about our upcoming Bahamas Cruise in December, trip to Atlanta in October, and shared personal stories to encourage and inspire one another.

When you realize that you become like those you hang around, you have to ask yourself the question, "Who am I hanging around and where are we going?" If you don't like the direction, you'll either have to change your friends or CHANGE your friends.

As a result of my goals and dreams, I have decided to really engage in the Mastermind Group concept. Think of it like a support group where we do peer coaching, accountability, brainstorming, and more. While relatively new to the idea, I'm going to focus right now on completing the dissertation, continuing to fine tune this body, strengthen my walk with the Lord, and building a successful business.

This is an exciting time where everyone involved gets to benefit. What Mastermind Group would YOU start?

Good vs. Bad

Good morning, Champions!

In reading Shakespeare's quote, it reminded me that one's perspective determines meaning (something being good or bad).

Take a flat tire for example. One person may take it as a curse or bad luck. Another may see it as a detour that prevented the involvement in a 10-car accident that happened only moments later.

Consider this, your habit is neither good or bad, but rather well intentioned. That means you get some form of benefit from doing it. The question is how are you benefiting?

To change the habit, leave the trigger and reward alone, but look for alternative routines.

What's a habit that you want to change? Look first for the benefit and then find an alternate behavior that produces the same reward.

Let's take control of our lives today and make it great!

Think Positive Thoughts to Change Your Habits

Good morning, Champions! Is there something in your life that you don't want or don't want to be doing? If you are like me, then there are habits that you'd like to change...and fast, right?

Funny thing happens when you "try" to stop doing something...it gets harder. Ever try to quit smoking, eating sweets, watching television, swearing, or any number of other behaviors? Well, rest easy in knowing that you are normal and functioning like a rational human being. In fact, your brain is trying to help you.

"How?" You may ask. Well, your mind subconsciously focuses on those things that you think about most of the time. Don't believe me? Try this example out for size.

Do not...and I quote, "Do not think about a PINK ELEPHANT!" Whatever you do...do not allow your mind to see a PINK ELEPHANT...say "no" to PINK ELEPHANTS.

Now, did you see a PINK ELEPHANT in your head? I know I did. (Laughing)

Here's the deal, your mind doesn't differentiate between things you want to think about and the things you don't. It just focuses on those thoughts that you introduce to it. So, trying to avoid eating junk food means you have to THINK about it. The more you think about it, the more it persists. Make sense?

Simple fix: Instead of trying to fight a negative thought or behavior, simply start thinking about those things that you want MORE of in your life. Want to start eating healthy choices? Research healthy options and start eating them. Take action today and repeat this process. Eventually, what you no longer want in your life will suffocate by all of the positive thoughts and actions you encourage.

Here's your assignment for today. Make a list of all the things you want in life (be specific) and state it in present tense.

Examples:
I am smart.
I am handsome.
I have 10 million dollars in the bank.
I eat healthy foods six times a day.
I workout daily.
I have a healthy and happy relationship with my spouse.
I have wonderful kids that love me.
I have a successful business.
I help a lot of people find success in their lives.

Then, when you wake up and before you go to bed, read these statements aloud. Watch how your life begins to change. Trust me, it works.

Step 2: Take action toward your goal.

Step 3: Evaluate if your getting closer or further away from your goal.

Step 4: Adjust and return to step 2 (as necessary)

Take this moment (right now), decide what you want (be specific), and get after it.

Winners Win

At some point, the scale doesn't move like it once did. Looking at my weight it is staying at, or around, 214 lbs.

At first, I was growing discouraged because I was expecting greater results. That was until I pulled out the tape measure and fat caliper.

Great news! I just dropped another 2 percentage points. I'm now at 14% body fat. My goal rests somewhere between 6 and 10%.

I don't write this to boast or brag, but to show you that it's real. If I can change my life, so can you.

Decide right now what you want and go get it!

Never Quit!

One of the Laws of Success is FAITH. Do you believe that you can achieve your goals in life? Do you believe that you can attain the desires of your heart?

Life gives us tests to determine if we want to succeed bad enough. Faith says that you believe so strongly in your goal that you will not quit until you win.

Today, make a decision that you will never quit. Learn to embrace the failure as the stepping stone to success. Every No...Every defeat...Every setback is one step closer to the finish line.

The Darkest Hour
