C3 Church: There Is A Champion Inside Of You

Pastor Matt Fry continues the series titled, "Heart Of A Champion."

There is a champion inside of you. It's the power of God working in us. God's power is greater than the Devil's power.

At the Lord’s command, the whole community of Israel left the wilderness of Sin [a] and moved from place to place. Eventually they camped at Rephidim, but there was no water there for the people to drink. 2 So once more the people complained against Moses. “Give us water to drink!” they demanded.

“Quiet!” Moses replied. “Why are you complaining against me? And why are you testing the Lord?”

3 But tormented by thirst, they continued to argue with Moses. “Why did you bring us out of Egypt? Are you trying to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”

4 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What should I do with these people? They are ready to stone me!”

5 The Lord said to Moses, “Walk out in front of the people. Take your staff, the one you used when you struck the water of the Nile, and call some of the elders of Israel to join you.6 I will stand before you on the rock at Mount Sinai.[b] Strike the rock, and water will come gushing out. Then the people will be able to drink.” So Moses struck the rock as he was told, and water gushed out as the elders looked on.

7 Moses named the place Massah (which means “test”) and Meribah (which means “arguing”) because the people of Israel argued with Moses and tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord here with us or not?”

Israel Defeats the Amalekites

8 While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them. 9 Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.”

10 So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill. 11 As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. 12 Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. 13 As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.

14 After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the Lord is my banner”). 16 He said, “They have raised their fist against the Lord’s throne, so now[c] the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.” Exodus 17:1-16 (NLT)

Pastor Matt talks about how the people left Egypt and started complaining. Satan wants us to complain and have a bad attitude.

In this passage, we see the first battle of many while going toward the Promise Land. Joshua and the men are fighting the battle. God tells Moses to go up on a hill and raise his hands. Pastor Matt says there is power in rising of the hands.

For as long as Moses' hands were in the air, they were winning the battle. So, Aaron and Hur went over to help Moses keep his hands lifted up until the sun went down.

The point is this, the battle wasn't won in the physical world but in the spiritual world.

The Power Of Prayer

You don't have to be the most talented, gifted, or most likely to succeed. It doesn't matter your background or talents you have, but when you go to God in prayer there is power.

Prayer is the most important weapon and tool for victory. When we pray for kids, marriage, family, friends, neighbors, and people who are hurting, we can experience victory. In the physical it may not look like it's possible.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 (NLT)

So, when you pray alone awesome things can happen, but when you pray with other believers you can see even greater results. Why? Because you are touching heaven. It may not make sense, but you know it is God.

“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, [a] I am there among them.” Matthew 18:19-20 (NLT)

Matt talks about a time when he prayed with fear, not faith. God then convicted him and said that you are not praying with faith. If you believe God is a God of power than you should believe he can change lives through prayer.

This power of prayer is available to all of us, not just pastors.

Pastor Fry recounts a Saturday night service. A woman came up to him about a pain in her back. She had been to the doctors for 5 years. However, nothing worked. When she heard him talk about praying she decided to pray with faith. She later came back and said that she was healed. God really can answer prayers.

Let's pray for people. No matter where you are. What if he doesn't heal? It doesn't matter, pray with faith. Let's pray bold prayers, not whimpy prayers. Let's pray about marriages and broken homes.

Don't doubt or hesitate, but let's live and pray in faith.

The Power Of Relationships

Aaron and Hur understood the power of partnerships.

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)

Why were Aaron and Er champions? Because they understood the power of working together. When Moses had no more strength, the two came in to help win the battle.

Where can you find these kinds of people? They are planted in God's House.

Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, 15 To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalms 92:13 (NKJV)

Anyone who has ever planted a tree knows that you have to plant a tree and let it grow. Moving a tree does not make for a healthy tree.

Pastor talks about a conversation with church leaders who find some of their members who just move around a lot. Some look at church like a grocery store, they bounce around.

Remember, the grass is greenest wherever you water it. There is something about being planted and nurturing relationships where you are.

Where do you find friends? Wherever you celebrate with other believers.

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1 (NLT)

How do we find friends? When you are connected with other believers.

At C3, we call these Connect Groups. It's not a C3 thing but a Bible thing. You can actually trace this back to the Old Testament.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47 (NIV)

The best Connect Groups have food (and coffee).

Remember, it's not about the Pastor or the staff to care for everyone's needs. Instead, it is through the work of the each member in these smaller groups that can do that.

Pastor Fry talks about a time he visited South India. He met with a guy named Pastor Mohan who has over 35,000 people on an acre of land. Starting at 4:30 am until late at night, Pastor Mohan preaches the gospel. Matt asks, how did this happen? Mohan said that God blessed him and he got a couple of thousand. Unfortunately, they got stagnant.

After talking with them, he found that small Connect Groups was the key to their growth. All things being equal, the only change was the smaller groups.

Pastor Matt talks about using these resources (and support groups) to help reach those who need help.

In his closing comments, Pastor Matt encourages us all to get involved in a Connect Group. Commit to 10 weeks.

Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. 4 He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. 5 He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft! Exodus 31:1-5 (NLT)

Do You Need A Fresh Start?

If you need hope or help. God wants you to know that he loves you. Jesus died and rose from the grave. If you would like to know Jesus as your savior then pray this prayer.
Dear God, I realize I've sinned and I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross and rising from the grave. Come in to my heart and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal and abundant life. Help me to live for you, for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Live Blogging C3 Church: We Are Better Together

Speaker: Pastor Matt Fry

Nehemiah 1:1-11 (NLT)

Today, we are going to look into the heart of Nehemiah. What was inside of him that caused him to be a champion.

Did you know there is a champion inside of us?

Remember, we are better together.

Nehemiah was a cup bearer. The role was to taste the drink BEFORE the king just to ensure it wasn't poisoned.

In this story, we hear how Nehemiah first learned of the wall being torn down and how he reacted.

Broken Heart

Our hearts need to break for what God's heart breaks for. This is not a broken heart for a woman.

When God looks at our community, he does not only look at those who want to live for him. He also sees the thousands upon thousands of people who are not even interested in God. These people have pain, trouble, and hopelessness. God is looking for the Churches and people that will reach out to those who are lost.

Nehemiah 1:2-4 (NLT)

God didn't save us so that we will be selfish, but to share God's love in practical ways. When God looks at our schools, he sees students who need hope, peace, love, and eternal life. When you start to see your classmates and coworkers the way God see them, your heart will break.

Pastor talks about a time when he was 18 at Liberty University. His professor Doug Rennan said, "85% of all those who receive Christ did so before they were 18 years of age. 95% of people receive God before 21."

As a result, Matt's heart broke for those people who didn't know God. This was the moment that he decided to really serve and help those who were hopeless.

Matt believes that this NOW generation will change the world.

Honest Heart

When we confess our sins, challenges, or stresses to God, we are in fact being honest with him. God already knows these things; however, when we share these things, we are agreeing with him. As a result, God will wipe all of those things from your record.

You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be honest.

Courageous Heart

A courageous heart is not one that waits for things to happen. Nehemiah saw a need in his home town, so he decided that he was going to do something.

Nehemiah 2:1-5 (NLT)

He Built A Dream Team

Nehemiah built a team that had a broken, honest, and courageous heart. As a team, he sought to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. Without hesitation, the team jumped on board to make it happen.

Nehemiah 2:17-18 (NLT)

They Had To Overcome Opposition

People during that time tried to criticize the work of the team. Nehemiah didn't pay them any mind.

Nehemiah 4:6 (NIV)

What caused them to rebuild the walls? It was there heart. Nehemiah did not allow anything to distract them from finishing the project.

Nehemiah 6:15-16 (NLT)

It was a miracle that the team was able to rebuild the wall in 52 days. A miracle is when something amazing happens in your life and people start scratching their heads by something only GOD can fix. As a result, God gets the glory.

The healing and salvation in your life is what the CHURCH is all about.

WorldVentures Regional Training: Building For Speed

Speaker: Scott Ross

Building fast is easy, building slow is frustrating. Who wants to get to International Marketing Director? (Hands go up)

One of the biggest mistakes people make in this business is this: People treat this like a hobby, not a business. Hobbies cost you money, business makes you money.

Today, we're going to hit the numbers.

Most people enroll someone and focus on getting their four. Taking a look at the compensation plan, only 27% will ever earn a dollar in WorldVentures. This means only 3 out of 10 decide to make this business work.

90% of people who get a gym membership NEVER work out one time.

When we enroll someone, the first thing we are going to do is enroll through someone within 24 hours. Once we get that person, we are going to move through that person and help the next person get one person. We keep doing this where we are building one after another. We're not waiting for people to get their four. As we move through, we forget the sponsor and focus on the new representative. Three out of ten people are the ones we want.

You should ALWAYS have enough of the "Push Play" DVD's. An object in motion tends to stay in motion. An object at rest tends to stay at rest.

On the first night/day, get an appointment via text. Once you do a visit, coffee, or whatever, show the video and call your sponsor to simply get his story.

On the first night, Scott helped the new person get two appointments. Players just do.

Once you get a new person, text all the uplines and wait for them to call you. The person who calls you are the players. They will simply EMERGE.

If you want to be an International Marketing Director, listen to these two numbers: 30 and 100.

To be an IMD, you need to put in at LEAST 30 personals. Statistically, 1 out of 10 people will be a player. Therefore, you need to get at least 3 players to build your lineage.

Always build on your outside left or outside right. Remember, we are building a NET. Many people are fishing with a line and pole, Scott is building with a NET. Every time you build outside left and right, you are building a net.

The best people all have come in the middle of the NET. To go IMD, when you can count 100 people down your left and right outside, your certainty of going IMD is high.

Therefore, Scott's goal is to build the outside each day. When the net is big enough, you will start catching the ACES.

Remember: 30 personals and 100 outside right/left is our goal.

Top 10 Mistakes Reps Make

Disconnect
Scott walked to the empty part of the room. The people who are no longer here have disconnected. This is the difference between success and failure.

To drive the point home, Scott talks about going to church and working out in the gym. The first day that you miss church/gym, it only gets easier to keep missing. By the forth day of missing an event, you will be disconnected.

Promise yourself, stay around the campfire, no matter what.

Think You Don't Need Training
The key of this business is DUPLICATION. Scott has spent over $100,000 in personal development. Even after working with some of the best trainers in the world, Scott knew he needed training. People will not do what you SAY, but do what you DO.

The average person can only stay focused and motivated for a period of time. Every event is used to help keep your team focused and motivated. Leaders don't even think about going to an EVENT.

Spending Time with the Wrong People
People often spend time with people who are negative and dream stealers. Your salary is the average of the 5 people you hang around the most. In this business, we often hang out with people who need us the most. We love everybody, but we are building a first class business and we're looking for PLAYERS. Stop investing in the needy and focus on the PLAYERS.

"Cowboy It Up"
If you try to build this business by yourself, you are going to die.

Re-Invent the Wheel
Don't buy ads on Facebook or a list of leads. It's all about DUPLICATION. Follow the SYSTEM.

If/Then Mentality
This is where people make excuses. If I had a BMW, then I could do it. Stop waiting for someone to make you happy. Just win!

Just live, be happy right now!

Don't Do Enough To Win
This is doing enough to be in the game, but not enough to win the game. Let's get all in and go hard.

Indecision
Double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Expect the Worst/Focus on the Negatives
If you go into a situation focusing on the negative, than you've already lost. Focus on the positive.

Inconsistency
This business is like a pickle jar. Most people are trying to build this business by studying and then attacking. The way to open a pickle jar is to consistently apply pressure (Director!). (Crowd applause) Start leaning into this sucker, don't be inconsistent.

120 Day Crusade

Right now, we are 120 days away from December 15th. How many would like to take the next 120 days and become a Director. As a leader, put this into practice within your team. Track this with your team some how. Do this and you will be a Director!

This is NOT for the faint of heart. Let's work hard for our dreams as we would for someone else's dream.
  • Show 1 person a day (this can be personally or showing the deal for a team mate)
  • Attend EVERY SINGLE Event (travel party, regional, super Saturday, or whatever)
  • Listen to NOTHING but WV Audios
  • Read 10 pages a day of personal development (Start with As A Man Thinketh by James Allen)
  • Personally Enroll 30 people
Get with your upline sponsor and have them hold you accountable.

ACTION: Consider building a tracking method and an award for those who do it.

Director in 120 Days = TOTAL IMMERSION

Getting Results

Understanding the Rules of the Game
95% of the people fail. This is not a WorldVentures thing, but a life thing.

Three Basic Fundamentals
1. Set your goals (Write it down and put it up everywhere. Write 120 every where.)
2. Make a list

What are your goals?
Why are you doing this?

Be Willing To Pay The Price

You will be tested.

How Bad Do You Want It?

21 Days in a row forms a habit.

Fail Your Way To the Top
I'm not judged
by the number of times I fail but
the number of times I succeed
and the number of times I succeed
is in direct proportion to the number of
times I fail and keep trying

WorldVentures Regional Training: Duplication

Speaker: Scott Ross

The goal in this business is to become irrelevant. Duplication is the key to success. We are not doing this to work another job. How many would like to do this for a few years and live life for the rest of your life? (Crowd applause)

Scott talks about how he virtually irrelevant. He has leaders on his team who love the business.

Early on, the growth of his business was based on his own efforts. When he got to Regional Marketing Director, he rested. Unfortunately, his business stopped growing for another 10 months, why? Because it was based on how good he was. Take yourself OUT of the business.

Be focused on a SYSTEM that will never die. Point everyone toward the SYSTEM. If your people want to learn anything, point them to the SYSTEM.

A lot of us have people that call us. Instead, have them call the help at (972) 805-5100. Use this number for every question your team comes up with.

Another way of getting plugged into the system is by listening to CD's. Point people to the SYSTEM.

Your job is to become irrelevant to the business.

Are you going to be able to sit with everyone on your team? No! Belief in the business happens by coming to  the event. Build from one event to the next event.

If you are on Scott's team and don't attend an event, they are dead to him. Why should he spend his time teaching you when the best people are in town?

An ACE is someone who is a PLAYER and one who is making it happen right now.

We are building WORLD CHAMPIONS and this training is training camp. If a team member is not doing what they are supposed to do, cut them off. Building champions is about finding people who are willing to do what it takes to succeed. One has to pay the price (be at the event).

To be a leader, you have to be in front of the troops. Scott is talking about getting folks to the events.

There are four national events: Momentum, International Convention, Millionaire Boot Camp, and The View from the Edge.

Register for "The View" - October 26 - 28, 2012.

How many people believe their life is worth more than $500? (Hands go up) Where there is a will, there is a way.

WorldVentures Regional Training: The Business Is A Process

Speaker: Brian Dunivant

The business is like baseball. Your job is to get people on first base (INVITE). Second base is to PRESENT (DVD). The third base is to ENROLL. Home is DUPLICATION (getting out there to invite, present, and enroll).

Brian uses a white sheet of paper to demonstrate the strength of a team. A single sheet is pretty thin. However, after you fold a paper fifty times it is strong enough to get you to the moon.

People's learning curve are different. Some people may just get it at first while others may not. Stick around until you do. The end result is duplication.

Brian has only sponsored 38 people. However, he now has over 6,000 people on his team. If everyone only worked 30 minutes this week, then it would take 17 weeks (without breaks) for ONE person to do some of the same work.

Game Plan Sessions

  • A confused mind is a frozen mind. If a person doesn't understand, he won't work.
  • People need some direction as to how to get started
  • Must be done with 24 hours (right after they join)
  • This is where you find out how coachable and teachable your new rep is
  • The goals is to get your people into ACTIVITY (making calls)
  • Your goal is to create master inviters
  • Expose Top 10 list ASAP
  • This is where 2 on 1's and Travel Parties are set up (do this for those top 10 people)
Step 1: Why did you join? What would you like to get out of WorldVentures? (Just listen)
Step 2: Let's start with making your money back? 6 = $570
Step 3: Let's make a list. Top 10 list (BEST 10). Our goal is to get at least 1 out 10.
Step 4: Make the calls WITH your new rep (right now) -  This gives time for you to try and coach. With each call, they get better.

These steps are really about keeping in control of a new situation.

Question: If you cannot get someone to make a telephone call while you are WITH them, than what makes you think they will make the call without you there?

Remember: Set your goal long BEYOND where you want to be. Instead of thinking 10/10 or 30/30, think beyond that number so it will seem easy.

Brian can count on two hands how many people have been successful in his 6,000 representatives.

In the book, "The Slight Edge," the concept is to do something slightly above average to see above average results.

Presenter: Scott Ross

When we have any success, we need to celebrate that success. Let's talk about what we're doing right, not what we're doing wrong.

"We celebrate the discipline, not the results."

What's the one thing we could do consistently and get results? Inviting.

WorldVentures Regional Training: Getting The Application

Speaker: Scott Ross

There is no testimony without the test. At age 16, Scott's father tried to kill him. He has learned how to leave the past behind him. Turn the page. It's not the start of the book that matters, but how the story ends. Take 100% responsibility for where you are.

Three-Step Set-Up

While it may sound easy, you will need to practice this. Get in front of a friend and practice. Do it at least 15 times.

Step 1: Why
When you talk about your WHY, you need to show vulnerability. The more you expose that, the more powerful this will be for you. For men, we have egos. For women, this should be easy.

Example: "You know me as the guy who is doing very well in his job, but I'm dying right now. I feel stuck where I am, but something just dropped in my lap." Be as real as you can be and tell your story.

This story helps to set up the problem. People want to know how the story ends.

Step 2: Big Deal /All In
Transition phrase: "I've been praying" or "I've been searching" ...and I just FOUND it.

Example: "I've just ran into some very successful people and they just showed me a very BIG DEAL. I've just made a decision and I'm going all in. This is my shot and I'm not missing it"

Step 3: Don't Care
"I don't know how this will strike you. You may love it or may not get it right away. Either way, it doesn't matter at all. All I know is, I'm going to put this in front of thousands of people and I wanted to give you a chance to see it first. Would that be cool?"

This step creates your posture. If someone starts to get negative, you can say simply say if you don't want to do this...that's ok!

4 Tips To Getting The App

  1. Have an application and a pen!
  2. When the presentation is over say, "That's so awesome, isn't it?... You're in?!" (Excited with high fives)
  3. Hand the guest the app and pen
  4. EXPECT the application will be filled out  (pre-fill out everything you know about them)
Remember: How you do anything is how you do everything.

After the presentation, you have to have this mentality...what time is it??? App Time!!!! Cut out the chit chat and get right to the application.

Everybody is recruitable, but never say...

What do you think?
We make decisions emotionally and justify logically. When you ask them what they think, it puts them into the left side of their brain (logical). They cannot buy. Keep them on the emotional side of the brain.

Do you understand it?
Do you have any questions?

Never bring up anything! Why? Because it's APP TIME!!!!

Men and women are designed differently. Woman are more social creatures than men. Woman will start talking while the person starts filling out the form. Woman will stop filling out the app to look at you. Don't say anything.

Be laser focused on getting the application filled out. Resist the temptation to discuss how great everything is going to be until AFTER the application is complete.

Objections

When you get an objection (I don't have time or money. This is a pyramid. I have to talk to my spouse. I don't travel.)... you smile and nod your head. Don't argue with them. Instead, ask this question, I totally get it (nodding your head) "...but what was most exciting to you? The travel or the money?" You can use this for just about every objection.

Remember: Every word YOU say is one step closer to them walking out. Every word THEY say is one step closer to them filling out the application.

It doesn't matter what they say: Travel or money. Whatever they say, you then say, "Cool, me too!" If they like to travel, ask them where they would like to travel. When they answer, agree with them and ask them for another location they'd like to travel. "Where would your wife like to go?" After you get a few places listed, tell them, "We have DreamTrips for that...you should give it a try." (Push the app back at them)

If they say that they like the money, ask them what they would do with the money.  Try to pull out the more emotional reasons for the money. "What would you do if money was no option?" "What would your wife want to do with the money?" Once you get an answer, say this, "Man, we have a program that can help you make $12,000 in 90 days. You can earn a car....etc." (Push the app back at them).

What tends to happen when you forward the application is that they will study the paper. During this time, you will feel tempted to talk. DON'T...let them study the application. If you start sitting there long enough, they will start filling out the application.

The Secret

You have to "decide to win." Nobody woke up this morning knowing they were going to see WorldVentures. If you were like most people, we came with our arms crossed. As the presentation went forward, we started to lean forward and really into it. At the end of that presentation, you said, "I'm going to give it a shot!"

If you "give it a shot" than you will lose at this business. That is very much like a hope to win. It's like a lottery ticket. To WIN, you have to DECIDE TO WIN!

Good things come to those who WAIT! Money doesn't grow on TREES! These things are programmed into our lives.

Remember, you were born for greatness. Each of us, were programmed to be workers. The education system is a joke.

Here is how you know that you were programmed to lose. You're in school, take a test, and get only 70% of the answers right. This gives you a grade of C minus. This means you are not above average.

In this business, if you get 70% than you are doing EXCELLENT! Remember, you are a Kings Kid. You are destined to be a winner.

Some of us hide behind the programming that we are not a Carlos Rogers, Dwayne Lodge, and Brian Dunivant. No, you are YOU!

Some of us hope that we will find the right one to join our business. What Scott believes is that HE IS THE RIGHT ONE! This is the time to OWN, not RENTING your life. The day you decide your life is going to change, is the day that you decide to take control over your life.

You are where you are because of the decisions you made in your life.

Anyone who tells you that you need them is telling you a lie. You + GOD = Majority

Decision means to cut off from. Some of us have a foot in WorldVentures and a foot in something else. This does NOT mean to quit your job. It means to go all in with WorldVentures. Remember, a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Get off the fence!

Unconscious Incompetent

In the beginning of our lives, we don't know what we don't know. As kids, we didn't know that we were supposed to eat our food with utensils.

Conscious Incompetent

At this phase of our lives, we learn that we need to eat with a spoon and fork. Although, we may not want to do it.

Conscious Competent

At this point of our lives, we tried to eat with a spoon or fork, but it didn't work. So, we through the spoon aside.

Unconscious Competent

This is where we can eat without thinking about it. It's like riding a bike. How many can jump on a bike and ride without thinking about it.

How did you know a bike worked? Because we saw someone riding on one.

As kids, we'd ask our parents for a bike. We get a bike with training wheels. In the beginning, I couldn't ride a bike. A bike is a SCAM. I tried a bike once and it didn't work.

One day, despite the injuries, you got back on the bike. Why? Because all of your friends are riding bikes. In life, you keep hanging around broke friends who are satisfied with their lives. You NEED to find some new friends who will help you see the world differently.

In the process of getting skills, you will fall down, you will hurt yourself, and get wounds. You have to decide to be a bike rider, to be a free man, to make decisions in your life.

It didn't matter to him who was going with him, he DECIDED that he was going to build this thing. Decide to be a winner.

Skills

You have to take these skills and practice them.

Scott is a finisher. We have a lot of starters, but very few people finish. Men finish, boys start.

Step 1: You Need A List
The longer the list, the more psychologically strong you are. If you put 300

You need at least 30 personals to succeed in this business.

Step 2: You Need Players (ACES)
We are looking for ACES. You are putting people on the list that you are above (people that you influence). Try going for those people who are both A) You need to know these people well. B) You need to be a driven person or super party animals.

If you are bringing people who are comfortable with being comfortable then they are the wrong person. These people don't want anything in life. Why would they want WorldVentures. Look for people who want more out of life.

The way we invite the ACES is through a text message (two-step invite). Remember, we need to duplicate. With the telephone, people freeze. The four-step invite is cool, but people cannot do it well. The more duplicatable method is a text message.

"Could you do coffee this week?" (the bucket) How many people can you text this week? With a text, you just got a 100% return on the invite.

You could also text, "You gonna be home today?"

For those out of town, "Can you get in front of your computer today (tomorrow)?...Cool, I'll call you." The secret with out of town folks, is that we need to stay in control. Don't send the link via text. Instead, tell them the URL over the phone. Don't hang up the phone, just put it on speaker!" That way you never lose control of the situation.

World Ventures Regional Training: Brian Dunivaint

How I Got Here

Brian grew in Lorano, Texas. He is Hispanic and grew up in a neighborhood that made about $19,000 per year. His high school was listed as one of the most dangerous places to attend school.

Thanks to a college scholarship, he was able to attend University of Texas. Had it not been for that, he wouldn't be here today.

Brian talks about his first job as a docking laborer. His second job was at a gas station where he stocked beer in the freezer. The third job was as a security officer.

At 18, he got into sales. During that first summer, he made $18,000. After that first year, he started making a six figure salary and opened a number of new offices. Brian believes that he paid his dues with this company.

His very first day with WorldVentures, he signed up 8 people. Back in the day, reps had to sign up 6 in order to get the membership for free. The first six people he showed it to, they said, "No!"

Do you realize that many people find failure like most of us and quit. He says that he was too dumb to quit.

Brian's first 8 people he signed up were average people. The first person was his mother, who lived in a trailer park. His mom was average.

His second recruit was his younger sister, who just had a baby and lived in the same trailer park. His third person was his Aunt Lee, who was a receptionist at an optimitrist office. JC was his fourth, followed by Sergio, Ambrosio (school teacher), Aliza (cellphone sales person), and Jaime (child protection services).

Brian explains that he made around 40 telephone calls on that first day. That resulted in those 8 people. He continues to say that there are some people who never answered the phone.

In his first month, he sponsored 19 personals. He probably called around 60 people at this point.

With 19 people, very few ever made a sale. Only a few more even got their 4. So, his point is that you are not alone.

If you just call people faster, than you can get the same people sooner. If they are going to say, "Yes" they are going to say "Yes" anyway. Instead of going slow, make all those calls in the next few days.

Even before he cycled, he was taking 3-way calls. Was he an expert? No, he was just "doing it."

Your leaders are not going to do this business for you. YOU have to get out there and do the work. No good leader would do it because you would never learn.

During his first official launch, he was practically reading the presentation off the screen. Everyone sucks in the beginning.

Brian talks about JC and Jaime, who signed up Rene and Franco, respectively. He calls them his "running buddies." Your running buddies are those who came with you today (this training).

In 90 days, Brian built his team up to 350 people. He didn't have any professionals on his team, he just had people who were passionate about being here.

In 10 months, he was able to earn more money than what he was making at his day job.

Brian become the company trainer in 14 months, RMD/Car bonus in 18 months, and went on 37 vacations to date.

Making A Living...Living!

If the business is about making a living...living, why are people stressing? This business is about having fun. If you're not having fun, than you are doing it wrong. People who are doing it right, you can't tell if they are working or playing.

Fun, Freedom, and Fulfillment

These three words are the core of our business.

Fulfillment
If you cannot believe more in your people than they do themselves, than you won't have a life of fulfillment. All of the successful people talk highly of their people. Our jobs are to encourage and build up our team.

Freedom
The 40/40/40 plan is not freedom.

Fun
Even when he was only making $3,000 per month, Brian took vacations. Thanks to the travel dollars, and other business benefits, he was working less and living more.

Brian talks about how he approaches his prospects. He thinks far beyond this moment. He thinks about the prospect taking trips, having fun, and making money. If you are only thinking about getting someone on your team, than you are doing it wrong. Think bigger than that.

Get Excited

The definition of a sale is to transfer your excitement onto someone else. You have to get WILDLY EXCITED about the deal. You have to have passion.

Some say that I will be excited when I get the car, bonuses, and the like, but Brian says that if you think like that, than you will never see those things. You have to "Act as If."

Act As If...

To start the process of "Act as If," you have to start talking like those who are doing it well. Start listening to successful people. Buy CD's and other tools. Listen to them often.

Inviting

The only thing we have to do in the beginning is learn how to invite. If you just master the invite, than you can start making a whole lot of money.

Listen to the 4-Step Invite by Dave Watson. The video is online. Tell your people to watch it and practice it.

Be Yourself

When inviting people, just be yourself. You were better at WorldVentures before you got in than when you got into WorldVentures. You could easily get folks to go out to lunch, dinner, or whatever. Just keep it simple.

The phone call is to simply create the appointment.

Urgency

This word is one of the most important points in showing the business. Urgency means doing stuff now...talk fast. Do it now!

"I'm coming over" is a very powerful phrase to get folks to see the video.

Schedule Phone Time

Schedule at least one day each week where you can invite people to events. Many people want to invite people, but don't make time. Put it on your calendar and stick to it. This is not a job, but treat this business like a business.

In the last two months, Brian has taken 6 vacations. In the beginning, he treated his business like a business.

The Life Of Your Dreams

If you make a list of all your people, than the life of your dreams is at the end of that list. From his 19 personals, he built a huge team. So, get through your list and start building the team.

In this life, you won't get what you want or deserve, but what you BELIEVE you can have.
